Melissa Hin resides in Miller Place, New York. Melissa is inspired by color and the emotions evoked through combinations of color and application. Her technique involved layering a multitude of colors and layers in both figurative and contemporary realms. Color, Composition, application of paint and drama dominate Melissa’s artistic expression. Melissa’s work has been displayed at various galleries and private collections in the United States and the United Kingdom which include New York, London, Paris, Venice, and Torino Italy. Melissa serves as board member for several art organizations and has acted as juror and curator for various exhibits. In 2013, she established MDH Creative Enterprises, a working studio where artists various ages and of all skill level receive instruction fine-tuning their techniques. Melissa is currently signed with a publisher and is working on illustrating a series of children’s books. Melissa continues working on paintings in both representational and contemporary styles. She considers being chosen to produce two large wall murals at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York, to be a great honor. She hopes that her work will soon gain global acclaim.
